This year the Las Vegas YMF conducted its first ever Diversity Survey. The goal of this survey is to administer it every fiscal year, and give the YMF board insight of the inclusivity of the activities.
Diversity and Inclusion Grant 2020
The new Diversity seat was implemented this year to embrace and promote cultural, ethnic, gender, sexual orientation, religious creeds, political beliefs, and other ideological differences in a safe and positive environment.

PE Review Course - Spring 2020
This year, ASCE LV | YMF hosted the PE Review for Spring 2020 at Kimley-Horn. The class provided PE review materials, practice exams, and one-on-one live instructor environment.
Professional Development Panel
On July 16, 2020, YMF hosted its first virtual Professional Development Panel. The panel consisted of Harshal Desai from Atkins, Heidi Dexheimer from the City of Henderson, and Anita Marquez from the City of Las Vegas with a huge turnout of almost 50 attendees.
UNLV ASCE Professional Panel
The UNLV ASCE Professional Panel was held on March 4th, 2020. The event consisted of young professional engineers around the valley reflecting on their experience as students at UNLV, how they were able to balance work and student priorities, as well as accomplishing class grades and their internships at work.

On Sunday, February 16, 2020, University of Nevada, Las Vegas hosted the first presidential candidate forum on infrastructure. Former Vice President Joe Biden, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Senator Amy Klobuchar, & Tom Steyer shared their perspectives, plans and strategies in addressing the aging infrastructure, jobs, and building a better America.
Future Cities Competition 2019
Members of our YMF Group attended the 2020 Nevada Future Cities Competition on January 11, 2020.
FE Review Course 2019
ASCE Las Vegas YMF hosted the first FE Review at UNLV. This class provided study material and practice problems to UNLV students.
Summer Mixer 2019
Our YMF group joined forces with the Southern Nevada Branch and created a new event called the “Summer Mixer with Directors” with a goal to fund raise for our members.
Fletcher Canyon Hike
The ASCE YMF hike to Fletcher canyon was a nice day spent outdoors with a dozen engineers of all experience levels.
Office Crawl 2019
About 13 UNLV students signed up for our first ever Office Crawl. Similarly to a “pub crawl,” students had the opportunity to visit six offices by carpooling and stopping at each office.
Inspire STEAM Expo 2019
Over 220 children and parents attended the first ever Inspire STEAM Expo on Saturday, January 23, 2019. Organized by ASCE YMF, the Expo was designed to encourage the youth of the next generation to pursue career paths in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
