The Project Manager position is a high-profile leadership role at Black & Veatch. In this capacity, you will have the opportunity to serve as part of the Water / Wastewater business leadership team.  As part of the Las Vegas, Nevada collaborative team, they will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of water related infrastructure projects in the multi-million-dollar range. 

Civil Engineer 1

Functions in an engineer capacity. Under close supervision, performs routine aspects of engineering assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles. Applies knowledge of engineering principles to prescribed techniques and procedures to complete project assignments.

This position is for a role in our Civil Infrastructure sub-discipline which supports our Water solution. Successful candidates should expect to engage in the design and potentially construction phase services of projects including, but not limited to: water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, and a variety of Water conveyance projects: water intakes, pump stations and pipelines, both on the distribution side and the collection side.

Project Engineer

St. George, UT

Summary:  Assist in planning, designing, and directing geotechnical engineering or construction testing/inspection projects.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Take ownership/responsibility for projects as assigned.

  2. Proactively communicate and follow up with engineering manager.

  3. Attend client meetings – days or nights.

  4. Direct and supervise engineering intern’s activities.

  5. Responsible for project schedules and timely completion of smaller, less complex projects.

  6. Show commitment as a team player – support fellow engineers and interns.

  7. Demonstrate a positive attitude and contribute to a harmonious atmosphere on a daily basis.

  8. Support directives from the engineering manager and the president.

  9. The P.E. should also join and participate in a Professional Organization acceptable to GES.

  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
