Clark County Reclamation District - Technical Tour

On Thursday, April 21st 2022, ASCE YMF hosted a Technical Tour at the Clark County Water Reclamation District (CCWRD).  There were 15 members in attendance for the two hour tour, which started with an enlightening introduction of how the waste water treatment process works, followed by a tour of CCWRD’s facilities.  Attendees learned about the secondary clarifiers, pump facility, UV disinfection, O-zone disinfection, membrane filtration, and sludge processing and disposal, among other things.  Lastly, members were treated to lunch where the conversation about the treatment process continued.  A special thanks to Kim Adler, who helped us put this tour together, as well as Jacob Sanders, Alycia Ybarra, and Dan Fischer for hosting us at CCWRD!
