Booze District Tour

On April 18, Las Vegas YMF hosted a Social Tour at the Booze District in Henderson, NV. Twenty three people attended and participated in touring Grape Expectations, Las Vegas Distillery and CraftHaus Brewery. The Social Tour was $25 a person, and Las Vegas YMF provided food, water, a raffle ticket, and a flight of beer. 

Grape Expectations is a wine-making school. During the visit, KJ (the professor) discussed the processes regarding wine making and Mike (the manager) provided wine samples along the way. The group then proceeded to Las Vegas Distillery, the first distillery in Nevada. Here, George (the owner) discussed the history of Las Vegas Distillery and its inception and what spirits they offer while samples are being poured. The last stop of the social is at CraftHaus Brewery. Master Brewer Steve explained the brewing process that beers go through, and along the way, the participants were able to taste a flight of beers that CraftHaus features. All participants were entered in a raffle and congratulations to Roxanne Feige for winning! She was able to bring home Las Vegas Distillery's Grandma's Apple Pie Moonshine.
